Alignd ("Alignd," "we," "us," or "our") operates runalignd.com, the Alignd web application, and provides a done-for-you creator-matching service for consumer brands. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to visitors of our site, brands that use our matching service, and users who create an Alignd account.

1. Information we collect

Account information

• Your email address and password, when you create an Alignd account. Authentication is handled by our infrastructure provider, Supabase — your password is never visible to or stored in plain text by us.
• Basic account activity, such as sign-in timestamps, used to keep your account secure.

Information you give us

• Your name and email address, when you contact us or request a shortlist.
• Your brand's website URL and any other business details you share with us (category, budget, goals).
• Any messages you send us by email.

Data generated through your use of the Service

• Brand analyses, creator matches, and shortlists you save through the Alignd web application, associated with your account.
• Usage data tied to your account, such as which features you use, so we can maintain and improve the Service.

Information collected automatically

• Basic usage data such as pages visited and general device/browser information, collected through standard web analytics.
• We do not use advertising trackers or sell browsing data to third parties.

2. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and authenticate your account, and keep your session secure.
• Analyze the brand website you share with us in order to generate a creator shortlist.
• Save your brand analyses and shortlists so you can retrieve them later.
• Communicate with you about your request, our service, and account matters.
• Improve the accuracy and quality of our matching process.
• Meet legal, accounting, and security obligations.

3. Automated analysis

To generate a shortlist, Alignd uses automated analysis tools (including third-party AI and data services) to evaluate the public content of the brand website you provide. We only analyze what is publicly available or what you directly share with us; we do not access private systems or accounts without permission.

4. How and where your information is stored

Your account information and the data you save through the Service (brand analyses, shortlists, and related usage data) are processed and stored using Supabase, our database and authentication infrastructure provider. We rely on Supabase's security and access controls to protect this data, alongside our own account-level safeguards (see Section 9, Security).

5. Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information with:

• Supabase, for account authentication and to store your account and saved-data securely.
• Stripe, for payment processing, if you are invoiced or pay for the Service.
• Third-party AI and creator-data providers, used to analyze brand websites and generate creator matches (see Section 3, Automated analysis).
• Other service providers who help us operate the business (for example, email and hosting providers), under confidentiality obligations.
• Authorities, if required by law.

6. Data retention

We keep your account information and saved data for as long as your account remains open, or as needed to provide the Service, respond to your requests, or meet legal obligations. If you close or request deletion of your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information and saved data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it for legal, accounting, or security purposes.

7. Your rights (including under Quebec Law 25 and PIPEDA)

Alignd is based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, and handles personal information in accordance with Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25) and the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). Depending on where you live, you may also have rights under other applicable privacy laws.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information.
• Request deletion of your personal information and account.
• Withdraw consent to our use of your information, where consent is the basis for that use.
• Request a copy of your personal information in a portable format, where applicable.

To exercise any of these rights, including to request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us at runaligndhelp@outlook.com. We will confirm your identity and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

8. Account deletion

You may request deletion of your Alignd account and the personal information and saved data associated with it at any time by emailing runaligndhelp@outlook.com. Once we verify your request, we will delete your account and associated data from our active systems within a reasonable period, except for information we are required to retain for legal, accounting, tax, or security purposes.

9. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including relying on Supabase's security infrastructure for authentication and data storage. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children's privacy

Our service is intended for business use and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
